On Good Friday there are three processions one at dawn one at midday and one in the evening. The midday one has several parts with statues of Jesus on the Cross and Mary coming from different Churches around the town processing toward "Calgary" where Jesus is placed on the waiting cross. The processions are slow, with carriers of the statues using a unique shuffle forward, one to the right side and then one to the left, called a "nnacata". You don't want to be in a hurry to get by. Onlookers shower the statue of Jesus with Petals. These processions have taken place for nearly 500 years, the history is all around.
