Well we've heard that Ibiza isn't the party town it once was, there's tough new rules, the partyers have moved onto other Islands. Well maybe we choose the wrong bay to anchor in for our first night in Ibiza, but there is definitely a lot of partying going on here. The charter yachts have been joined by the mega yachts and the bay is crowded. The bar on the shore (Blue Marlin - google it!) has courtesy dinghy's that ferry customers ashore, some of them are already "having a good time" and it's only mid afternoon. Clearly none of them are Spanish. It's very entertaining for us and best of all it's all quiet by 10pm.
Whilst everyone else is having a party, we feel the time is right to have a party of own. So we finally baptise Hector and have a renaming ceremony, which mainly involves appeasing the Gods of sea and wind by having numerous toasts and throwing copious amounts of $5 Spanish champagne over the hull (and to be honest it's not fit for much else).
We're an ordinary family of 5 dreaming, planning and now beginning our adventure around the Mediterranean (and further afield), having an awesome time! Look out for our boat and come and say hi.
