Over the last couple of days there has been a yachting regatta in our marina, sponsored by Spar (a bit like Four square in NZ). For the race they sail around the harbour. We couldn't see the actual race because there were huge ships blocking the way. The racers were all Spanish except for a group we weren't sure about. Their boat had a french flag, but I think they spoke Spanish so you can't be sure.
The racers going out.
For the racers they had stalls selling things and one giving away hats. So every time I went past the stall's the lady gave me a hat (well not every time). I ended up having two hats, and the family ended up (as you can imagine) with loads of hats!

On Saturday night they had a party that lasted basically the whole night. The part had a band that started at 12pm. They sang some English songs , but they sang some Spanish songs as well. It was very loud and annoying. I got zero sleep that night
The next day they were giving out lunch - paella's and everybody wanted one, including me. Big mistake! There was a huge queue and only two huge paella pans. So they ran out pretty quickly, and before we got any.

Now all that is left is the rubbish, trodden paella, and the Spar racing boats.
We're an ordinary family of 5 dreaming, planning and now beginning our adventure around the Mediterranean (and further afield), having an awesome time! Look out for our boat and come and say hi.
