Having missed our plane, it sent us in a real spin, as we really wanted to make it to Corfu for Camille’s birthday. We brought another ticket for the same day which took us to Zurich and then on to Corfu. When we arrived in Corfu – guess what? No luggage at all. We were to meet Sam and Sarah at the yacht club and as it was dark we had to yell, “Sam is that you to every dingy that we saw.” Eventually Sam and Camille arrived at 11 O’clock. So just made it for the birthday, but all the presents were in the lost bag. Great to be dinghy’ed back to Hector and Sarah, Maddy and Asia.
Now to the insurance – oh dear. I have never brought so much in a short time in all my life. Sam must have been sick of it but he was seen to be looking for clothes in my size in cotton, silk or linen, as the weather here is never below 30deg. We stagger home to Hector with a dinghy full of clothes.
We watch the lightening thinking it is quite spectacular until the storm hits us. Oh dear there were boats going in all directions. Not nice at all.
We're an ordinary family of 5 dreaming, planning and now beginning our adventure around the Mediterranean (and further afield), having an awesome time! Look out for our boat and come and say hi.
